the BRAND
Zoe Adjonyoh is an author, restaurateur, thought leader, and owner of Zoe’s Ghana Kitchen.
While leading a new initiative at East Fork, I actively sought out change makers in the food industry for unique collaborations, and was introduced to Zoe through chef Jasmine Michel.
We partnered over several months to create a limited edition collection which featured Chef’s Kiss: an exclusive hibiscus finishing salt hand-blended by Zoe, plus a bold stack of East Fork’s Bitty Bowls & the Weeknight Serving Bowl in glaze colors curated by Zoe. Together, we told a story about her work to decolonize the modern food industry while furthering the conversation around contemporary Ghanaian cuisine.
the work
I worked with East Fork’s production, creative and fulfillment teams on a 360-campaign. Campaign included social, email, custom postcard insert, influencer & press seeding campaign, a ticketed event with Zoe at East Fork’s store in Atlanta, advertising, content, and a giveaway.
the Results
Debuted and tested a new type of partnership for East Fork
Pantry product created exclusively for the brand
Multiple 5-figure revenue partnership
Secured mainstream media coverage in New York Magazine
Atlanta event received positive feedback and request for similar events
Bringing a taste of Ghana into the kitchen.
“I selected a color palette that reminded me of my late grandmother’s home in Kaneshie, Accra…a nod to the orange plumes of dust and terracotta tiling as you arrive…the almost white exterior walls…the [blue] room I lay in, listening to cockerels…and the kitchen where I learned so much of what would become the cookbook ‘Zoe’s Ghana Kitchen.’ This collection honors my ancestors’ dreams for me as much as it does Ghanaian cuisine.”
