AFAR Highlights Firelight at Shope Creek and Embassy Suites Asheville Downtown

National travel magazine AFAR recently published “The 13 Best Hotels in Asheville,” highlighting places that capture the spirit of the Blue Ridge Mountains, from tucked away cabin stays to lively downtown hotels.

I’m thrilled that two OFTB clients made the list…

Firelight at Shope Creek, a collection of architecturally striking cabins set along a quiet mountain creek just outside Asheville, was included for travelers seeking a secluded retreat surrounded by forest and fresh mountain air. The property blends thoughtful design with the feeling of being completely off the grid while still close to the city.

Also featured was Embassy Suites by Hilton Asheville Downtown, a modern all-suite hotel located in the heart of the city. With rooftop dining, unobstructed sweeping views of the mountains, and walkable access to Asheville’s restaurants, breweries, and music venues, the hotel offers visitors an easy basecamp for exploring downtown.

Thanks to writer Jenn Rice for capturing the diversity of hotel experiences available in Asheville today, from quiet nature escapes to vibrant urban stays.
